Senior Manager – Purchase

Job Description:

1. Job Title : Sr.Manager- Purchase

2.Education – BE in Electrical and Electronics / Mechanical Engineering.

3. Age – 45 to 50 Years.

4. Years of Experience – 15- 20 Years.

5.Preferred Industry – Manufacturing Industry(Especially in Electrical Motors and Pump Industries)

6. Location : Nava India, Peelamedu, Coimbatore.

The Purpose of this position is strategically sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials to Industrial Motor manufacturing company ensuring the best quality at the lowest cost

Key Responsibilities

1. Key responsible for handling Electrical Motor Manufacturing material and according to the combination of material consolidate the suppliers with proper pricing strategy.

2. Evaluating and assessing the new and existing supplier

3. Identifying the right supplier for NPD in targeted time frame and sourcing the material price effectively

4. Responsible for volume based discount with supplier and negotiating them for continual improvement year on year.

5. Fixation of pricing the all components with alternate supplier for all components

6. Keep updated in major RM material price fluctuations- Copper , Steel, Insulations

7. Able to assess the suppliers capacity to match the production schedules and expansion plan

8. Team building to ensure cross functional discussion with all internal department and with Vendor.

9. Ensuring the Quality Supplier by implement the vendor assessment

10. Able to reach purchase agreement for cost effective supplies

11. Able to control the lead time and reduction the same

12. Responsible for cost reduction to all category of materials(A,B,C)
