Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Casting Purchase Candidate to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in casting materials and processes, along with experience in negotiating and managing supplier relationships. The Casting Purchase Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of casting materials while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for casting materials.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favourable terms.
Material Sourcing: Source and qualify new casting material suppliers.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand material requirements.
Cost Optimization: Analyse market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Implement strategies to optimize procurement costs without compromising quality.
Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality control teams to ensure casting materials meet specifications.
Address any quality issues with suppliers and implement corrective actions.
Logistics and Supply Chain: Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of casting materials.
Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies for efficient stock management.
Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities.
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Diploma degree in Mechanical Engineering,
- Proven experience in purchasing and procurement, with a focus on casting materials.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of casting processes and materials.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
